From someone I’ve never met, didn’t know, who passed in 1939 talking about what it’s like on the flipside from a film producer’s point of view.

After he showed up, and after I correctly guessed who he was — the medium Jennifer didn’t know who he was, but Amelia Earhart invited him (!) — I looked him up.

Turns out he’s one of the 5 founders of Universal pictures or saved the company. I learned this from a former exec there. That he is so important, the head of the studio recently flew to his home town in Germany to celebrate his anniversary.

And he’s been off the planet since 1939!

Everything reported in here is true about Carl — he did offer Amelia Earhart a film, she did write a script with Mary Pickford — it’s reproduced in one of George Putnam’s books.
