Life is like a Cadillac and other observations

Someone on the Hacking the Afterlife forum on Quora was asking about the flipside, where people report we can “create any scenario, any object, travel to other realms.” I was quoting Carl Laemmle, founder of Universal, who stopped by for a chat on our podcast Hacking the Afterlife.

As he noted, on the flipside, “We can fly, create amazing adventures, flavors, places, crystal cities — it’s only when we get bored do we decide return.” That is — reincarnate.

Question: “Can you have a Cadillac if you think of already having one?”

My answer: If you can learn to meditate, you can transform anything.

Think about it, the experience of driving a car is similar to being incarnate, inside a body. We dont really see ourselves unless we pass a mirror. We judge ourselves and others based on a variety of misconceptions. We worship, loathe, desire, hate things we see, judging them based on opinions.

We cant see ourselves driving a car either. We can see the steering wheel, the dash, a bit of the hood, feel the shocks or seats. But whether its a Cadillac or a Kia is irrelevant in terms of getting from A to B. Cant see it except in the garage.
