The Flipside of Bardo

Some observations of the film “Bardo” by the acclaimed director Alejandro González Iñárritu, and also some observations about the story telling device that includes a journey to the Flipside.

For those familiar with the research into the Flipside, for the past dozen years or so I’ve been filming people accessing the afterlife through hypnotherapy, mediumship or meditation. I’ve filmed over 200 sessions with people accessing the memory of a previous “death” — as well as what happened next, where they went and why they came back (either to that lifetime, via a near death experience, or to another lifetime where they are recalling the previous one.)

I’ve done 100 filmed sessions with Newton Institute trained hypnotherapists (and others) where in the four to six hours with a client, the person uses hypnosis to access, to bypass the filters on the brain to access the memory of these events.

If they were imaginary, their stories wouldn’t be consistent. Unfortunately they are. They report the same hallmarks as those who’ve been studied extensively via near death experiences (UVA Medical School DOPS —…
